Bricktasic 2026

Bricktastic '26 at Manchester Central was a massive success for the GayFOLs community!

Coordinated by Ian Kimpton with fantastic support from Teresa (Kitty) Elsmore, our display took center stage right at the main entrance. With four tables packed with 65 incredible MOCs, you couldn't miss us. The vibrant setup caught the attention of thousands of visitors, including LEGO Head of Design Matthew Ashton, who dropped by several times and called the display a "riot of colour," alongside Justin Ramsden from LEGO House.

Over 30 members and allies joined in, turning our open-air Meet & Greet into a busy, welcoming hub for catching up and connecting. The highlights of the weekend were definitely the group photo and our awards ceremony. Matthew Ashton judged and awarded a prize to the "Friends of Dorothy" MOC (thanks to LJOMinifigures for generously donating the prizes), while Warren Elsmore picked the "Rainbow Bionicle" MOC for top honors.

The feedback from the public was overwhelmingly positive, making it an unforgettable weekend that perfectly showcased the creativity, visibility, and strength of our community.
